Park Hang-Seo-Ho Vietnam, Shin Tae-Yong-Ho Indonesia ‘Southeast Asian World Cup’ semi-finals 1st match 0-0 draw

Indonesia, led by Shin Tae-yong, and Vietnam, led by coach Park Hang-seo, were drawn in the semifinals of the 2022 Southeast Asian Football Federation 스포츠토토 (AFF) Mitsubishi Cup.

Indonesia drew 0-0 with Vietnam in the semifinals of the Mitsubishi Cup held at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 6th.

Backed by the warm support of the home fans, Indonesia had a 7-2 lead in the first half, but could not score a goal. The game was tight in the second half, but it was disappointing for both teams to finish. In the end, it was a 0-0 draw.

Coach Park Hang-seo continued his superiority with 1 win and 2 draws in the head-to-head match against coach Shin Tae-yong, who played in Southeast Asia.

Coach Park, who led Vietnam to its second victory in the 2018 competition, will once again challenge to win in this competition, which concludes a five-year partnership

Since 2020, Indonesia has taken the baton, and coach Shin led the runner-up in this competition held in 2021. Indonesia, which has only been runner-up six times in the tournament, is looking forward to its first win.

The two teams will play the second game on the 9th at 9:30 pm at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam. If there is no winner during the 90 minutes of the first and second half of the second leg, a penalty shoot-out will determine the team that advances to the final. The away goals rule does not apply.

The Mitsubishi Cup, also known as the “Southeast Asian World Cup,” draws attention as three of the four teams that reached the semifinals were led by Korean coaches. On the 7th, Malaysia, led by coach Kim Pan-gon, will play the first game against the ‘defending champion’ Thailand.
