Park Eun-shin, who is aiming for the first ‘matching 2 consecutive wins’, “I adjusted my condition for this tournament”

The Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Korean Tour’s only match play competition, ‘Descente Korea Match Play’, has not had a single winner in a row until the previous 12 tournaments. Therefore, in the tournament that will open on June 1st, it is good to watch whether or not to achieve ‘2 consecutive wins’ as a point of observation.먹튀검증

Park Eun-shin, the winner last year, is aiming for a second straight victory. In the final, he won the championship cup after a close match with Kim Min-joon to the second hole. It was the first win in his life at the time, so the joy was doubled.

Park Eun-shin, two days before the opening of the tournament, said, “As this is the tournament that gave me my first championship, I naturally want to defend the title. For this tournament, I set my condition and performance to the highest level.” There will be holes to play, and there are times when you have to play the game safely. That’s why I will carefully strategize.”

Park Eun-shin will be placed in Group 7 against Park Seong-guk, Ha Choong-hun and Kevin, and will compete in a fierce group stage for a spot in the round of 16.

Lee Hyeong-joon, the only winner of the tournament, was also determined to win the championship three times. He stood tall as ‘Match King’ in the 2015 and 2019 competitions. In 2020 and 2021, due to military service, last year, he could not participate in the competition due to poor physical condition.

Lee Hyeong-jun said, “I always want to win because I like match play competitions. I am looking forward to the competition method being changed so that the charm of match play can be revealed more.” I will prove that has returned. I will play aggressively in every game.”

Lee Hyeong-jun will play in the group stage with Lee Tae-hee, Bae Yun-ho, and Park Young-gyu (29) in 10 groups.

It is also of interest whether Seo Yo-seop, who received the first seed in this tournament, and Kim Dong-min, who won the KB Financial Live Championship last week, will perform well. In particular, Seo Yo-seop, who had to be satisfied with the runner-up after losing to Lee Hyung-joon in 2019, vowed, “I will fight without fear every time.”

Lee Jae-kyung, who has been in the top 10 for the last four consecutive tournaments, is also a good candidate for the championship. Attention is also drawn to whether this competition will shake off the regret of not being able to deliver the news of victory after winning the Genesis Championship in 2021.

Meanwhile, this year’s tournament changed the way it was played to add excitement.

The 64 players are divided into 16 groups, and after a group stage, the finalists are decided. In the group stage, 2 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw and no points for a loss. If there is a tie for first place, a sudden death overtime is played.

From the round of 16, a tournament, a true one-on-one competition, was introduced. If the round of 16 is covered by the group stage, the round of 16 and quarterfinals will be held simultaneously on June 3. On June 4, after the semi-finals, the final match for the championship cup will be held.

The tournament will be broadcast live from the round of 64 to the final through SBS Golf 2, a broadcaster hosted by KPGA. The channel numbers of SBS Golf 2 are GENIE TV 992 for IPTV, LGU+ 99, SKB 969, and SkyLife 219 for satellite.
