Doosan’s troubles that keep the national hitter from sleeping, the task for June is to ‘endure’

The Doosan Bears have never spent a week with their ‘complete’ power after the regular season began on April 1st. Even now, foreign pitcher Dylan Pyle and right-hander young gun Kwak Bin are out of the mound due to injuries, while native ace Choi Won-joon is staying in the second team due to his poor pitch.

On the field side, top-class prospect Kim Dae-han was registered for the first team after the opening on the 31st of last month, but veteran left-handed hitter Kim In-tae is currently recovering from a shoulder injury.

The most troublesome thing is the starting rotation. It is also a concern to find a temporary starting pitcher in a situation where Dylan, Choi Won-jun, and Kwak Bin are all missing. First of all, on the 6th, against the Hanwha Eagles in Jamsil, 38-year-old veteran Jang Won-joon will sortie as a starter.

Doosan coach Lee Seung-yeop initially confirmed the four starters during the spring camp in Australia in February, starting with ace Raul Alcantara, Dylan, Choi Won-joon, and Gwak Bin. For the 5th starter, they happily weighed the two young guns, left-hander Choi Seung-yong and right-hander Kim Dong-ju.

However, it is only Alcantara that has consistently kept the starting rotation after the opening. In the case of Choi Seung-yong and Kim Dong-ju, their lack of experience and deterioration in stamina are evident after May.

Because of this, coach Lee Seung-yeop looked worried enough to throw a self-deprecating joke, “I think I’m tired. I can’t sleep well at night,” after receiving a question about the replacement selection prior to the Suwon KT Wiz match on the 4th.

Coach Lee said, “What our coaching staff can do is to find resources that can make up for a power leak. That’s why the Futures League exists.” He has come up and is helping the first team, and he is holding on.”

In the case of Kim Dong-joo, “I think I’m a little tired. If our team (a starting pitcher) had time to spare, we should make it easier for them to adjust their condition rather than skipping the rotation once, but that didn’t work out.” While watching, I felt my strength drop. But there is no alternative. There is no other alternative,” he emphasized.

Coach Lee believes that if he endures the current situation in June, he will be able to jump into the ranking fight at the end of the first half when he has all his strength. Doosan’s immediate task is to ‘endure’ while maintaining a 50% win rate.

Coach Lee said, “I also really want to see what kind of power the players who have been out of injuries will have when they come back completely.” I think that Doosan will become stronger after going through difficult times.” 먹튀검증

He also said, “For two months after the opening, I’ve been keeping 50% every time, but I have to get over this hurdle. I don’t give up and the current players have to do their part for the players who have been missing little by little.” I said to work harder,” he added.
