Jae-deok Seo (34) of the men’s volleyball KEPCO is heading to the playoffs again. This is already the 4th challenge. The last 3 times have all failed. I really want to win now. Seo Jae-deok’s dream is heading to Cheonan.
Seo Jae-deok led the team to victory by making a big success against Woori Card in the 2022-2023 professional volleyball semi-playoff held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 22nd. He posted 13 points, including 2 points for the decisive serve ace, 1 each in the 1st and 2nd sets. He shined better on defense. He threw his body all over the court and recorded 12 digs, the most on the team.
Seo Jae-deok said, “You shouldn’t be pushed back in a short-term battle of momentum. He thought he would win only by catching and eating his opponent.” Regarding the defense, he said, “I came to the game with my own spirit and only defending.” Seo Jae-deok said, “(Shin) Young-seok said that his brother said too much that his light defense was sluggish, so he showed it. I think I have a lot to say now,” he laughed.
KEPCO coach Kwon Young-min said, “Short-term matches require crazy players, but Seo Jae-deok was like that.” Opponent Shin Young-chul, coach of Woori Card, also said, “We lost because we couldn’t stop Seo Jae-deok.” His performance was so outstanding.
The goal is the championship game. We need to beat our playoff opponent, Hyundai Capital. Seo Jae-deok, a one-club man of KEPCO, made the playoffs three times after joining in 2011, but lost all of them. Right away, we beat Woori Card last season and went to the playoffs, but lost to KB Insurance. It was more disappointing that he could not beat an opponent who had been ahead with 5 wins and 1 loss in the regular season.
Seo Jae-deok said, “This championship match is not ‘I think I can go’, but I must go.” My heart is still heavy when I think of the famous ‘best friend’ Jeon Kwang-in of Hyundai Capital, but I decided to focus only on the game for now. Jeon Kwang-in stepped on Seo Jae-deok’s foot during a match against KEPCO held in Cheonan on the 9th and suffered an ankle injury. 3-4 weeks of treatment is required, making it virtually impossible to play in the playoffs.
Seo Jae-deok said, “Kwang-in called me first.바카라 He eased his mind by saying, ‘Is a man crying over something like that? It is regrettable that I cannot play together, but I will go with one goal of winning.”
Starting with an away game in Cheonan on the 24th, KEPCO will start a playoff match against Hyundai Capital in 3 matches and 2 wins.
